We are edging ever closer, ladies and gentlemen, to the end of the week, and the news is looking better and better.

First up, let's congratulate former MPs Chucker Amuna, Sam Jima and Dr Philip Lee,

all three massive remainers who deserted their original parties in order to betray Brexit and those who voted for it.

Yesterday, they found out that not only had they lost their huge MP salaries and expenses,

but it now turns out that they aren't going to get a redundancy payment for losing their jobs either.

You'll remember that all three of them jumped ship and then jumped constituencies for the last election,

but by doing so, they effectively axed their own jobs,

and so they don't qualify for the 31,000

quid that all other outgoing MPs get, even lucky old Dominic Grieve.

Is it just me that thinks there's a delicious irony about all of this?

And why not transfer the 93,000 quid we've just saved?
