If you watch network TV, you're probably seen, oh, I don't know how to get away with murder or empire.

When it comes to cable, there tends to not be as much interesting program with black protagonists.

Stars has broken that with the show Power, which is in its second season, its creator and executive

juicy. Courtney Kemp Agu is sitting across me. I'm so happy to have you here. It's nice

to be here. And what I really like about

the show and just knowing a little bit what

you've done is really about sort of the dangers

of the evils of capitalism.

It's so funny.

I think of it as being about spiritual

struggle. It's also about that

the thing my grandmother used to say to me, but were the things

you want for you shall have them.

Yes, yes.

I definitely think that, you know, so much of my reading, so much of the philosophy behind

the show comes from a book called The Sermon on the Mount, which is by Emmett Fox.
