The judge overseeing the Charlie Kirk murder trial ordering the release of a redacted

transcript and audio of a closed-door hearing with Kirk's accused assassin.

The newly unsealed transcript shows that the October 24th hearing opened with Tyler Robinson's

defense attorneys asking the court to allow him to keep one hand unshackled so he could take notes

and write during the

proceedings. The transcript contained limited redactions to remove discussions of security protocols

in the closely watched case. The judge also ordered the release of an audio recording of the hearing,

again with redactions, which should be available in about two weeks. This week's hearing did an

address Robinson's lawyer's request to ban

all cameras in court. The judge also has not decided whether the trial will be broadcast. Charlie Kirk's

widow, Erica Kirk, told Fox, the world should be able to see what happens in the case. Robinson

faces seven charges, including aggravated murder. He'll be back in court in person, January 16th.
