Hello there. Good morning, DB here with a little front nine coffee in my cup. It's Monday morning. You know what that means. It's time to hit a winner again. Tom Kim on this very show 28 to one was what we said. We got a lock that down.

0:23.0

He had short he's shortened up basically immediately after the show he shortened I think by time he closed he was around 18 to one 16 to one. Hopefully you caught it early. That's the reason this show is awesome. It's the first look. It's Monday morning. I'm excited. I'm energetic. I'm well rested and I'm ready for the Zozo championship. That's what we're talking about today from accordia. Narasino Country Club in Japan. Thank you. Let's go. It's a good course. It's a beautiful course. It's pristine. It's pure.

0:53.0

It's a man. It's like that. You know, it's like that untouched lady. You know, she never been. She's just pure. She purers the driven snow. She never been, you know, defiled or anything like that. So it's a beautiful venue. Beautiful course. Thanks for all those watching and listening. I'm putting this up on the podcast feed as well. Just because one show tonight. It's me and Pat. We're back back in the saddle together for the first time in a few weeks. We're going to break it down primarily from a DFS standpoint. But we're also going to hit the bedding thoughts to outright possibly some top 10.

1:23.0

Remember, it's only a 78 man field. So that'll get happening tonight at around 9 p.m. Eastern. But thanks for watching. If you're watching, click the like button, comment, subscribe. What up, AK? What up, Steve Dub? I know AK. Hit that 28 to one Tom Kim ticket. Saw it on Insta. Listen, if you if you hit a winner based on what we do, publish it, man. You know, let people know. Let us know. Let us know. We tag us in it. We'll repost it. We'll reshare it. But I want to do something a little different today because again, we only have 78 players. Top 60 in the FedEx cup standings.

1:53.0

Plus you got eight exemptions for the Japan tour and a couple other special exemptions. So we're not going to have a full field to break down. Not going to talk about quite as many players. So I want to talk about the golf course real quick. Good. Into a course breakdown video. We've only seen accordia twice. And from what we've seen, we might be able to pick up on a few things. But I've done some research. And I want to I want to share some of it with you now. So basically we've played at accordia twice for the Zozo

2:23.0

championship, even though this is the fourth time of the Zozo is a tournament. We saw it last year when Hadecki won at 15 under. He won by five shots. By the way, it played a lot more difficult last year. Hadecki won at 12 to 1. And then in 2020, it was not at accordia. I believe it was sure would. In Los Angeles, if I remember correctly, Patrick can't lay one. That one in 2019 was the first year it was here at accordia and Tiger Woods won it at 19 under. He beat Hadecki by three. And I think Hadecki was was beaten. Everybody else by two.

2:53.0

He beat Hadecki by three as well. Tiger won at 33 to 1. So now we'll say this. Both fields were much stronger in those in those previous two years here to accordia. Live is put a herding on this field. It just has like. It sucks. But it is what it is. So let's talk about the tournament a little bit. 78 players. No cut. Like I said, FedEx top 60 nine Zozo special exemptions eight from the Japan golf tour and the winner of the BMW Japan Golf Tour to get exempted into here. So there's going to be some names in here.

3:23.0

There are primarily Asian tour players, Japan tour players that you may not recognize. And honestly, we could get cute and start naming off a couple of them. But if we're talking outright in this video. Even with this field, it's just not likely. Okay, just don't overthink it. There are five par fours under 450 yards on this course. And five par fours from 480 to 500. So there, there's not a lot in the middle. It's like, it's like, you know, par fours that you can really attack and have wedges on. And then there's par fours.

3:53.0

There are five par threes and all are fairly, they're okay. Like there's not a whole lot of teeth to the par threes. A lot of this course is distance on the card is not really in the par threes. And then there are three par fives.

4:23.0

The green and regulation percentage is about average probably because that means the rough just isn't much of a factor. And it's not. I mean, it's this place has drawn comparisons, I will say, if we talk about a certain quote last year from I believe it was Will's all a torus Will's all a torus said it really reminded him of Augusta.

4:43.0

It's pure. He said it was as well manicured as any golf course he'd ever seen. And there's some, you know, there's some slopes along the golf course. But now these greens aren't as slopey as a gust of national. But he said it reminded him of Augusta. And that probably includes the rough. The rough just hasn't really been that big a deal.

5:00.0

Hadecki, Keegan, and more a cala have gained the most strokes total over the two years played here. Think about those three players. Hadecki, Keegan, more a cala. What are they all known as tremendous iron players, good ball strikers, tremendous iron plate, more a cala, not very long off the tee Keegan's above average for sure. Hadecki's above average for sure.

5:20.0

But extremely good iron players, Brendan's deal, Cameron, Tringali, Sebastian, Munoz, Mackenzie Hughes, and Matt Wallace all finished in the top five here last year playing and they were playing for their first time. So a first time player here, which there's a lot more of this year because of the strength of field can definitely do something and do some damage here at the Zozo. It can happen.

5:41.0

But you know, we just we don't have much of a sample size anyway. This is a tree lined lush green spot, right. There's some water on a few holes. The bunkering is is definitely in place, strategic bunkering in the fairways and around the greens and the bent grass greens run pure and they run very fast. They're fairly small and not a whole lot of slope to in the green size and the green side bunkers are definitely what presents the challenges that accord yet. So strokes game approach big deal strokes game around the green being able to get up and down also a big deal.

6:11.0

This is kind of crazy. Like a lot of Japanese courses, you'll notice that according has two greens on every hole like separate greens, not like St Andrew's greens where they like share a green. They have two separate greens on every holes.

6:22.0

One of this is bougie man. This is like this a major flex for Japan like major golf flex here. One of them is big grass what we're playing on now when the weather gets more mild and cooler. The other one is Bermuda when it gets hotter. So they just switched over to Bermuda that thrives while bent sucks like.

6:37.0

That's bougie, you know, that's that's doing your thing.

6:41.0

What else distance like I said, I don't think distance is necessarily requirement, but it's definitely an advantage because the rough is is not is not very penal.

6:50.0

So bombers are going to have the advantage here, unlike I think a couple courses we've already or maybe maybe really this course that we just saw at the Shriners.

6:58.0

I don't think bombers, I think it mitigates their advantage a little bit, not the case here.

7:02.0

A lot of the birdies on this course are going to come from the par fives, although they're not necessarily gimme's the three short par fours and a couple of those par threes.

7:09.0

And like I said, Willie Z gave it that a gust of national comparison key stats are going to be obviously things like.
