Hi, welcome back. This is Heidi St. John, and you have found me my little place on

the internet here at the Busy Mom podcast. I'm so glad you've joined us. I've been talking

about something that's really important, I think, for our culture, especially for us

as mothers and as women, and that is learning to deal with fear. I started this series

by talking about a picture that was on my phone of the headlines of the day, and one of

the headlines was the beheading of a Japanese journalist, horrible. The second headline that

I saw on my phone in the space of two hours was of the Whitney Houston's daughter being

found unconscious in her bathtub. Bad, pretty much just bad news. That's my point. Very

rarely do I get notifications on my phone of good news. It seems like bad news travels

fast. I'm looking too with great interest at what's happening in the Middle East right

now with the rise of ISIS, this terrorist organization, these Islamic terrorists, these

people who in the name of a religion are killing people, left and right, men, women, children

does not matter, and they're largely growing through fear. Fear is a powerful motivator.
