0:41.2	Turn with me, please, to the Book of Judges. The Book of Judges, Chapter 4 and part of Chapter 5.
0:49.7	Here, in Judges Chapter 4, we are introduced to a great woman of God, a woman who was decisive,
0:59.5	who was courageous, and her name was Deborah. Deborah delivered Israel by making decisive commitment
1:08.8	to doing the will of God. Come what may. But here also we are going to
1:14.6	be introduced to a man, a weak, indecisive, an uncommitted man by the name of Barak.
1:22.2	Hear me right, please. If you know anything about the book of judges, you would know, you would know that this is a period of history right after Joshua led by the power of God to enter into the promised land victoriously over Jericho and the walls fall of Jericho and then taking the people of God into the promised land that God promised them.
1:45.1	But just as God had worn them through Moses in the wilderness before they got to the
1:50.4	promised land, he warned them more than once.
1:53.9	He said, once you go to the promised land, once you get prosperous, once you get comfortable
1:58.9	in the promised land, you are tempted to turn you back
2:01.8	on me. And that's exactly what happened. Exactly what happened. The one sentence that you hear
2:08.7	in the book of judges over and over and over and over again is this, the children of Israel
2:14.8	forgotten the Lord their God. They have forgotten the Lord their God. And everyone
2:19.8	did what is right in their own eyes. And in every time of those rebellion times, and you see several
2:26.4	of them throughout the book of judges, every time when they rebel against God, God basically takes
2:33.5	his hand, protective hand off them. And then they get into
