Day 105 of Donald Trump's second presidency.

Chaos and turbulence have been hallmarks of these early days, but the president has landed on a messaging strategy.

In a new interview with NBC's Kristen Welker, which aired in just the last hour, President

Trump is clarifying who should get the credit for the things that are going well and who should

get the blame for things that are going poorly.

When does it become the Trump economy?

It partially is right now, and I really mean this, I think the good parts of the Trump economy

and the bad parts of the Biden economy because he's done a terrible job.

He did a terrible job on everything from his auto pen, which I'm sure he knew nothing

about some of the things he was supposedly signing.

Well, say this, he's being remarkably transparent, admitting to the core part of Trumpian dogma.

Whatever he does is good and right, and whatever his perceived political enemies do is bad and wrong.

It's one of the reasons that it's hard to fight the disinformation that comes from

the Trump administration and Trump's acolyte. That's why my colleague Rachel Maddo has always

urged us all that when it comes to Donald Trump, watch what he does rather than what he says.

One of the most impactful things that he's done in the first 105 days back in power is to cut a path of retribution,

designed to scare political opponents and lawyers and former government officials and schools and

universities and judges and just regular people, away from speaking up.

So I want to talk about the flip side of Donald Trump's first 100 days.
