0:05.2	changing them on the page I gave them, all under the assumption that I wouldn't see it, so that they
0:10.0	could get a discount on their new home they wanted me to build.
0:13.3	And I've honestly never been more blown away by somebody's entitlement in my life.
0:17.8	Here's what happened.
0:18.8	So I was working with a couple to renovate their home in New York City.
0:22.4	They had narrowed down their search to myself and one other person,
0:25.7	with me being the preferred client and the other
0:28.0	being the more budget option.
0:29.6	I gave these clients my detailed spreadsheet
0:31.8	of how much everything would cost
0:33.2	so that they could use it to pick and remove the non-essentials
0:36.4	in hopes of getting closer to the number they wanted.
0:39.0	And they had so many luxuries it really shouldn't have been that hard to do. Well a few days later they both
0:44.2	call me announcing that they've done it and they said this in a celebratory
0:47.4	manner. Now my price as designed was almost 1.7 million dollars if If I removed every single non-essential item, I could get the budgets down to 1.2 million dollars.
0:58.0	So I opened the sheet and they had somehow got down to 9955,000.
1:03.4	I look through it briefly and see literally nothing has been removed.
1:07.0	So we are about $600,000 or more lower to build the same house.
1:11.8	So I call the client to ask if I have the right
1:13.8	spreadsheet and the wife answers and says, oh sorry maybe not I'll resend it. They
1:18.6	resend it and we remain on the phone to go through it together. But guess what?
