Summary
Colt Ford was enjoying great success as a professional golfer when, at the age of 35, he decided to go all-in on a music career. He is arguably the most successful independent artist in country music, nearing 10 million sales of "Dirt Road Anthem" that he co-wrote with Brantley Gilbert which Jason Alden took to #1. He's getting restless from being off the road due to COVID show cancellations and is putting the finishing touches on his 8th album. Colt is playing with Blake, Erik and many other country stars in the charity golf tournament at Diamond Resorts Twitter - @coltford / IG - @coltfordmusic

| 0:17.8 | Hello and welcome to Behind the Rose Podcast. I'm your host, Blake Horsman, here with my buddy as usual, Eric Bradley. And today, we're talking to country singer-songwriter Colt Ford. Back in the day, pot farm was a place to go. Load the truck up hit the dirt road. Jump the barbed wire, spread the word. Light the fire, they call the girl. You may not know this, but Colt is a co-writer of one of the biggest hits in the past 10 years. His song, Dirt Road Anthem, was a number one for Jason Aldeen and was nominated for a Grammy. The song is approaching 10 million sales, and you won't believe how long it took Brantley Gilbert and him to write it. Colt's been taking a break during quarantine, but we're looking forward to his eighth album soon. Here's our chat with Country Star Colt Ford, Behind the Road. Thanks coming on to be a fun episode. Yeah, man, always. |
