0:00.0	In fact, all of life, if you think about it, there are all sorts of covenants and all sorts of agreements and all sorts of contracts.
0:09.3	Most of them are agreements between two equals. In marriage, a husband and wife, two equals, stand and make an agreement or a covenant before God. He is the witness, the primary
0:23.8	witness, and then the congregation is a secondary witness. In business, thanks to lawyers, even if we're
0:30.2	exchanging a few dollars, we have a hundred page document to sign. In the Bible, we often see God making covenant. God speaks as the covenant making God,
0:43.3	as he makes covenant with people. But the covenants that God makes with man far from two equals.
0:52.5	Indeed, it is a covenant of two very unequal. It is a covenant where God does
1:00.5	all of the heavy lifting. It's a covenant where God takes upon himself 100% of the responsibility.
1:15.4	For example, we see that God made a covenant with Adam and Eve in Genesis 315, where he promised Jesus, the Messiah, will come. Then we see him making a covenant with Noah
1:21.2	after the flood. And here in Genesis chapter 15, we see him making a covenant with Abraham.
1:30.3	But the greatest of all covenants was on the cross of Jesus Christ,
1:35.3	where he invited everyone who would come and believe in him.
1:41.3	And when they do, everyone who comes to put their whole trust in Jesus Christ,
1:48.2	everyone who comes and look upon that cross, it is their cross, but he took it upon himself.
1:55.4	It is their punishment that he took upon himself, that his death on that cross is their death, that Jesus is suffering
2:02.8	on the cross is their suffering. He took all of it on himself. He took our sin. And the punishment
2:12.0	and the wages of sin that is duly ours, he took it all on himself.
2:20.8	He does all 100% of the heavy lifting.
2:24.3	That's a covenant, not between two equals.
2:28.2	For God so loved the world.
2:33.5	The Bible said that everyone is going to make it to heaven in the end. Right? For God so loved the world
2:38.0	that anyone who follows any of these good religions are going to be saved, right? For God so
2:46.1	loved the world that whoever tries hard to live a good life will be saved, right?
