0:42.5	about the fruit of the Holy Spirit and we're going to dive right in because there's a lot to cover,
0:47.6	okay? So we'll start with why. Why are we going to talk about the fruit of the Holy Spirit?
0:56.0	Why is it so important? It's important because, y'all, Jesus himself said that this is how we will be recognized.
1:06.0	Fruit matters because Jesus said this is our identifier as the body of Christ, as the brethren.
1:14.1	Okay, let's look at the scripture in Matthew 7, 16, and 20.
1:18.0	And by the way, guys, there's going to be a lot of scripture tonight.
1:20.4	There's going to be a lot of information.
1:22.4	So I recommend a pen and a notebook if you really want to absorb this information because
1:27.1	there's going to be a lot.
1:28.6	So Jesus says you will recognize them by their fruits.
1:32.4	Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles?
1:37.6	So every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.
1:45.6	A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
1:52.5	Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
1:58.0	Thus, you will recognize them by their fruits. So everything comes back to fruit.
