There was honestly a lot that it was very hard to choose and I feel like I don't know in terms of rock music this year

I feel like there was a lot to love or I really felt connected to the genre in new ways. I felt like there were a lot of

bands that sort of came out of interesting spaces like wet leg like where where in the world did they come from and

And also like I don't know prolific singer songwriters like Alex G who I think turned out really interesting music

So for me it was like a very exciting year for rock. Yeah, I agree

There was a lot to love certainly more than we could fit on a list of 10

In the conversations that we had amongst ourselves and with other people on the team about the best rock of this year

I feel like yeah, folks on the team got excited about rock coming from different corners of different universes this year

Which is maybe true every year, but it was fun to be part of that conversation this year

And I saw a lot more live music this year than I saw in the past few years and

Wonderful it can feel to go to a rock show and watch someone play a big guitar solo right in front of your face
