The countdown continues to Mike Brable taking over his head coach in the New England Patriots.

I still think that's where it's headed.

And, you know, the imaginations of it are interesting.

The Patriots have to get through the Rooney rule.

And they do it, frankly, in shameless fashion.

Taking two guys who are out of football and doing it in half a day because you can't talk to anyone currently employed in the NFL. We can only do it with guys out of the NFL, whether they're in the playoffs or not. And so they take Byron Leftwich and Pep Hamilton, who aren't in football now, and get it out of the way. And then they catch all sorts of blowback. Bert Breer is a sham. Guys are all over them. And then, wouldn't you know it today? Oh, we've scheduled an interview with Aaron Glenn, the defensive coordinator in Detroit. Sort of like, that's not too obvious. Is it now covering your tracks? No, it's exactly what it is. Or responding to the blowback, the deserved blowback from how you've handled that, the process to this point? Right, and they picked a buy team because they can get it out of the way right away. You know, it could have been Brian Flores, which would have made more sense. And I say more sense based on their history. Oh, and also Flores said just yesterday, he'd be interested in the job. He'd like to talk to them. Yeah. And their history is to go after people that they know and have some familiarity with.

The guy is a defensive coordinator here. But they chose Aaron Glenn. So like, you know, to me, the whole thing's a sham. So, and it's, it's not just implanting the Rooney rule, which is, you know, bad enough. but it's like this whole thing about being above the process, you know, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, Patriots can't lower themselves to actually go through a legit process.
