— SAMPLE EMAIL TO EXPENSE THE COURSE

MGR,

I have been listening to the brutal truth about sales podcast for X months and it speaks to the issues we face.

They currently offer a course that includes video instruction, group Q&A and One-on-One coaching. I'm committed to my own personal development and

would like your help in expensing the course.

It would pay for itself if I closed only one new deal of $X value.

Please let me know by Friday if I can move forward with this 1 year course.

Thanks,

ME

In sales, it's a roller coaster. We have great days. We have bad days. But how do we keep

0:06.8

ourselves from going too low and make sure that that high is realistic? We're going to be

0:14.4

talking about that today. I think you're really going to enjoy this interview. And one of the

0:19.1

things that we have to do constantly in sales is talk to strangers.

0:23.9

Become friendly, not friends. There's a big difference. Everybody thinks it's all, oh, you're

0:29.5

to be friendly or liked. But it's really, do they want to talk with us? Will they take our call?

0:37.2

Let's get into this interview.

0:38.4

At the end, I'll sum it up, and make sure you're checking out the courses at B2Brevenue.com.

0:43.9

Here we go.

Hey, Gary, thanks for joining us today. As a way of getting started, gives a little background

0:52.1

on yourself. Sure. Look, thanks very much, Brian. My name is Gary Daley, and I work for actually one of the

0:58.6

biggest IT companies out there. I work as a field sales rep. We specialize in cloud, cybersecurity,

1:05.4

and networking. But just to give you a bit of context, actually, when I left university, I actually

1:12.1

wanted to be a football agent, what do you believe, or a soccer agent, maybe as you guys in the

1:16.8

US would call it. And I ended up going to Australia backpacking. And I actually got a job as,

1:23.5

you know, a junior sort of sales specialist with an IT reseller who specialised in PC power management.

1:31.0

And the interesting thing was this company actually went into administration and liquidation.

1:36.6

And I was there for four years.

1:38.1

So it was an extremely tough situation.

1:41.3

And then actually, just to fast forward, I moved to the UK, went to London,

1:46.2

and joined the current company that I'm with. And in seven years, I've went from, you know,

1:50.5

an ADR or an STR to a field sales rep. So just to give you a bit of context on the journey.
