Hello and welcome to rock and roll politics, the podcast with me, Steve Richards, the podcast where we delve deep, put into context the fast-moving events that appear significant,

sometimes are, sometimes aren't, that kind of erupt on a near hourly basis

over our lives. And we do it together in the Rock and Roll Politics Cooperative. If you are

new to it, welcome. And if you have been here for many years, I don't need to say this because

you know it already. Now, if it's okay with all of you, we'll start

with a few reflections from me on the sort of post-budget furori in inverted commas, and then

move on to your brilliant questions, some of which relate to the budget. And there is in the cooperative, if your emails are

representative, quite a high level of disillusionment in relation to it. But we'll come to that.

There's some other brilliant questions which kind of highlight the importance, I think, of the

cooperative on delving deep on issues such as immigration

and asylum and the conflation of those two very different themes. We'll come to them in a minute.

Just a quick reminder, December the 8th is next week, the last live show of the year. There are very few tickets left, and this is the one

where we gather to make sense of everything that's happened really, and have a few laughs as well,

it being the Christmas special. And yeah, there will be the predictions, and they will be interesting.

The predictions when I was at the Rope Tackle Theatre were very interesting.
