This doesn't seem to be good news. UPS is looking to slash about 20,000 jobs and close more than 70 facilities as it drastically reduces the amount of Amazon shipments it handles.

Oh, wow.

The package delivery company said that it anticipates making the job cuts this year.

It anticipates closing 73 least and owned buildings by the end of June.

It said that we're still reviewing our network and we may identify more buildings that need to

be shuttered. Wow. Okay. So according to the CEO, the actions that they're taking to reconfigure the

network and reduce costs across our business could not be timelier. The macro environment may be uncertain, but with our actions, we will

emerge as an even stronger, more nimble UPS. Wow. So the deal that they were talking about with

Amazon, they reached this deal where they're going to lower the volume. Amazon, biggest customer to UPS.

They're going to lower the volume by more than 50% by the second half of

26.

So, okay, I guess that might be good news for the UPS as well if the UPS is going to

cut down that.

I mean, the company employs 490,000 workers.

That's not good for many of those employees.

Okay.

They said that it's expected revenue this year is approximately $89 billion.

But they're going to go ahead and cut that workload down and slash about 20,000 jobs and close more than 70 facilities.
