With Berglan, I'm not sure that there is a player in the prospect pool that increased his stock more this season than Jack Berglum.

On Thursday, the Philadelphia Flyers announced, well, one of their future prospects is joining the organization here in North America.

Second round pick from two years ago, Jack Berglan has signed his entry-level contract

with the Flyers. It does not begin till 2026-27. He will report to the Phantoms for the rest

of this season. So we will get to see him at least some in the HL as Phantoms attempt to make

the Calder Cup playoffs.

We'll see how it goes.

It hasn't been going too well.

You know, when you take away like a bump and a barkey, maybe you hurt their chances a little.

But I'm kind of liking what we're getting in the NHL.

I'd rather have to live with it.

So Jack Berglan, second round pick in 2024, 6 foot 4, 210pound left-handed center. Charlie, what exactly kind of player

are the Flyers getting in Berglum? They're the Phantoms for now. Yeah, well, I think with

Berglan, I'm not sure that there is a player in the prospect pool that increased his stock more

this season than Jack Berglum. Like, Porta Martone had an awesome year in Michigan State, but his stock was already sky high. Everybody already thought he was a top 10, top five prospect in the entire league. It's not like, you know, he'd go much higher than he was. Berglan was a guy who was kind of on the borderline of relevancy. And this year, he played himself into being a very, very relevant prospect for the Philadelphia Flyers. Number one, he got a bigger role with his SHL team, Faristad. Over the course of the year, it got bigger and bigger. By the end of the year, he was an every night player getting a decent amount of minutes. But even more importantly, that, Berglum was awesome at the World Junior Championships. He captained team Sweden of the gold medal, three goals, seven assists in seven games. He was legitimately one of the best players in that tournament. Now, he was on the older end of players in that tournament. You expect a guy in his draft plus two season to be one of the better players in that tournament. But he was. He was a leader. He did all the little things for that team. He did a lot of big things for that team. And Berglan went in my estimation for maybe being more of like a guy I would rank somewhere and say that like 12 to 15 range in the prospect pool. Now he's very clearly a top 10 prospect. And I don't know if he's that far away from being NH already. Yeah, and in terms of being one of the older guys at World Juniors,

listen, he has 10 points in seven games,

he captains Sweden to the gold medal, great stuff.

I will say, like he turns 20 on April 10th,

so probably when you're listening to this,

he signed a day before his 20th birthday with the Flyers.

It's not as if he's like Cam York who turned 20, like the day of the gold medal came, I think,

the year they won it, maybe the day before, something like that. So he is a little bit on the
