He's running sidecar here today, and he always does an incredible job.

And we're going to talk a little bit of trade deadline. We're going to put a bow on that. Then we're going to get into this outstanding matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. First of all, I want to talk about Mike Vrable. This is what he had to sit today about the trade deadline. We're going to roll with that. Well, first, I would say that deals are like being pregnant.

You either are or you aren't.

There's no like it's either a deal or it's not.

So I don't know how close you can be.

I know that everyone worked hard and that we investigated and looked in and made phone calls and they, what personnel departments do.

And in the end, you know, we decided that this was what we were going to do and decided to move forward with our preparation.

You know, I know they worked extremely hard to make calls and have conversations and in the end, we didn't do anything.

First, I don't know if that pregnancy comparison really holds up.

Okay, deal consummation.

If it doesn't happen, it doesn't mean you didn't work extremely hard at it.

Okay, so if the Patriots worked extremely hard, as Mike said, and they came up short,

they're certainly disappointed.

Now, painting it as them not making a deal is, hey, they're not trying to win this year.

They're not all in on this team.

They're planning for the future.

I think that's a little reductive, too.

You know, if you're making a deal to satiate the masses just so you can put on a little

sticker that says, I voted today, I made a trade at the deadline, isn't everybody happy,
