he asks, which was the most important breakthrough in the history of electronics?

I think the ability to generate electricity in the first place was a big breakthrough.

Instead of just getting it, if I may, just getting it from chemical processes, is he looking

for transistors?

I don't know.

Or is he looking for a starter in an automobile?
