Rick Merlin Levine.

And we were just having a really interesting conversation

before we came on.

We're going to be doing an August preview.

So we'll definitely get there.

But before we came on, Rick very politely asked me to drop the

the from his name because I was saying the Merlin Rick Levine, but his name is actually Rick Merlin Levine, which I had no idea about.

So Rick, will you tell us a little bit about why that's your preference and then how did you actually get that name?

Well I got that name it's actually a very funny story. It's been my legal name and on my passport since think about 1995. So it's been about, you know, 25 years or so, 95,05, 15, yeah, about 25 years.

And I was born Richard Michael Levine.

However, as lovely a name as Michael is,

I never related to it and I always used Richard M Levine or Rick

M Levine. That was always what I used. I never I had no affinity to the Michael and on a divorce you are allowed to reclaim your maiden name in most states for without an extra charge. Normally you can change your name but there's

court fees involved in a legal name change. However in the state of Washington where I live as in many states there is a provision for

that's that basically says that whatever you put on the marriage dissolution

agreement that becomes your legal name and it's a provision which

requires a separate piece of paper but it's basically there so that that a

woman can change her name back to her maiden name

or pre-married name without additional court fees.

That's why it's there.
