The conference I told you about a couple weeks ago on the show.

It was a really fun time.

This was the first live interview podcast I've done, which was a total blast.

I had on a return guest, Senator Cory Bucker, the Senator from New Jersey, one of my favorite

guests from before.

We had a great conversation about rebuilding trust in American life, about what politicians

have done, maybe to give that trust up to make people cynical, what this era in politics

means and how to navigate it in a way that allows people to be alive to its dangers without

losing their soul.

At the end, we talked about a lot of policies that are out of the mainstream.

We talked about a universal shout allowance.

We talked about a universal basic income.

We talked about single payer, all kinds of things, political correctness on campus.

That is a very fun lightning round, one of the most fun I've done.

Unexpectedly, when I asked him about universal basic income, Bucker came up with something,

a response that sure sounded to me like a man who is thinking about a holistic platform

for the 2020 election, given that he is an oft rumored Democrat for that campaign and
