0:59.2	When I quote this book, just in private conversations or when I have talks with people that things
1:04.3	aren't getting so bad, there's a real resistance to it like they can't believe it.
1:09.0	Have you guys thought about that at all?
1:11.2	Yes, absolutely.
1:13.0	Look, human beings have evolved to be pessimistic.
1:17.6	Essentially our species is about 300,000 years old and for most of that time life was
1:23.9	extremely difficult.
1:26.7	The world was much less hospitable to human beings and so it paid to be pessimistic, to
1:32.9	expect bad things happen.
1:35.7	Any organism that understates the threats may then be destroyed, eaten, killed by predators.
