0:05.7	Zachariah chapter five verses two through four. And we said to me, what do you see? I answered,
0:11.8	I see a flying scroll. Its length is 20 cubits and it's width 10 cubits. Then he said to me,
0:18.4	this is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole land. For everyone who steals shall be
0:24.3	cleaned out according to what is on one side. And everyone who swears falsely shall be cleaned out
0:29.6	according to what is on the other side. I will send it out to clear as the Lord of hosts.
0:33.6	And it shall enter the house of the thief and the house of him who swears falsely by my name.
0:38.4	And it shall remain in his house and consume it both timber and stones. So there's a lot we could
0:44.1	talk about here. And that was a lot in just three verses with a big picture that I want to make
0:51.2	sure is in your mind coming away from these three verses is the power of God's word to go out.
0:59.2	And accomplish God's purposes. And specifically thinking about the purposes of God here in
1:05.7	Zachariah chapter five, God's word depicted by this picture of this scroll exposes sin and the
1:14.1	judgment that sin warrants. So the whole picture is this scroll flying going out over the face of
1:22.0	the whole land and cleaning out exposing sin, stealing, swearing falsely, exposing sin and showing
1:33.6	the judgment that comes as a result of sin. And when you think about that picture,
1:39.1	then think about why we need to be in God's word every day. Why we need to hear it and meditate
1:47.0	on it because this is one of the purposes of God in his word to open our eyes to sin in our lives
1:55.8	to uncover to help us see the sin in us that we're holding on to sin around us that we're tempted
2:04.4	by. So when we read the word and we meditate on God's word and we hear it, we need to pray God
2:10.4	expose my sin, help me to see my sin and the judgment at warrants. And in the process,
2:17.9	help me to turn from it, help me to run from it by your grace when I sin to confess it quickly
2:24.4	and to repent of it. And not just when I sin, but God keep me from sinning that this is the power
