I never got into that position to be a cute little face on TV.

And maybe they let me host the Today Show and I could do some little clicking segments.

Like that was never it.

I was there to hold the line for community to bear witness to politics and policy and to create a platform.

I was there to disrupt the space.

So, y'all know I've been in this book deal forever.

I promise you, I'm almost done.

But my book is all about black women.

It's called We Are Like Those Who Dream, Black Women's Blueprint for a New Power.

And, yeah, a whole lot keeps happening to Black women,

so I keep going back and revisiting the manuscript,

which is why it's not done yet.

But let me tell you what never changes about us.

We are experts at taking shit and spinning it into gold.

And you know our secret weapon?

Sisterhood.

People like my girl Tiffany Cross, who will be on today's show, are the epitome of what

sisterhood is.

Our collective, the machetes, y'all remember that from last season, we cut through the

bullshit and we're ready always to do that at a moment's notice.
