Welcome to FT Politics, a weekly discussion on what's happening in Westminster from the Financial Times.

I'm Sebastian Payne. In this week's episode we'll be discussing the latest in the coronavirus crisis,

including the health of Boris Johnson, who remains in intensive care from the illness,

who is taking his place in Downing Street, and how the government is being run in his absence.

We hope that the quality is listable. The main political news story

this week of course has been about Boris Johnson the Prime Minister for the

last 11 days he's been in self-isolation after being tested positive for coronavirus.

As far as we were aware, the Prime Minister had mild symptoms of the disease and he continued to work

in his flat in number 11 Downing Street, producing a couple of Twitter videos and even popping out onto Downing Street to clap for the NHS two Thursdays in a row.

But all that changed last Sunday when the Prime Minister was admitted to St Thomas's Hospital in London.

After 24 hours his condition deteriorated and he was then moved to intensive care where he remains
