My dear brothers and sisters of all colors, you know how blessed I am every week to be in dialogue with my very dear sister, Tricia.

I would like to thank you so very, very much for your support this past year that you have fortified both of us in a magnificent

way. And now I know my dear sister, Trisha, would like to say a few words. Yes, thank you so much,

Cornell. I know we have an amazing community that has really become

just a rich and warm and creative and interesting space. We're so lucky to have a tightrope family

around us. And so I just want to reiterate that we are so grateful for all your enthusiasm,

your support, your engagement over the past 10 months. And we're really

hoping that you have some room to support us some more. So let me explain. From the beginning of the

show to now, we've produced and distributed the tightrope mostly out of our own pocket and with a

little bit of help from our independent network affiliates.

We've worked very hard to produce the program independently so that we could bring you powerful, unfiltered conversations.

Now it's no secret that big corporations and big ad agencies heavily influence the media landscape

and they tailor the conversations in ways

sometimes that are hard to point to. We've been determined to maintain complete intellectual

freedom. And it's with this freedom in mind that we announce that we are moving all of our

full length content to the Patreon subscription-based community.

Moving fully to Patreon allows us to program and grow and thrive without the influence from

third-party advertisers or any other influences. It will also ensure that we have more intimate

exchanges with each and every patron who subscribes.

We'll be able to hear your voices more clearly and develop an ongoing conversation with you.
