Cool. Cord Jefferson is a veteran TV writer who worked on one of the best and

smartest and most complex and amazingest if that's a word shows of the year

HBO's watchman which I just ate up.

So when I got a chance to talk to Cord, who's like one of the lead writers and story editors,

I had to fan out and ask him to take me inside this epic show.

Watchman is one of the great shows of the past decade.

I mean, it just was this epic achievement all around,

writing, editing, directing everything.

And I say this is somebody who's not from the graphic novel, not from the movie.

I saw the movie, I didn't really get it.

I came to the show like, so it's Regina and they say it's about race like let me see what

the trailer looks let me see what this is and week by week I'm like I don't

know half of what's going on but I'm blown away and I need the

vulture recaps to fully understand what's going on but like I can see this is brilliant and

beautiful and amazing and talk a little bit about
