All of our X-Cop playlist interviews and going back, I think Neil Woods was one of the first

we had on, he's got hundreds of thousands of views now on his and you know we've interviewed

a lot of people, a bit of prison, a lot of people have been through trauma, people have

been in crime and the cops go through all that as well.

If you look at some of the interviews we've done within days, you know the attending

houses where there's cops, there's our fatalities, car crashes and the catalogue of the horrific

things that they see is perhaps more than you know any other profession, perhaps ambulance

drivers, soldiers, stuff like that, so endless fascination in the stories coming from the X-Cops.

And today we've got Matt Calvally, whose book is called Cops and Horrors and before we

introduce you to Matt I'll just read some from the back.

As a decorated officer on the police front line Matt saw it all, he fought violent criminals

arrested hundreds dealt with numerous horrific incidents and got bitten by a squirrel monkey

called Clive.

In Cops and Horrors he recalls the her raising highs and the harrowing lows during 30 dedicated

years of metropolitan police service in which two days were never the same.

During this time he worked at the sharp end as a custody sergeant, provided jury protection

during a huge corruption trial and was involved in countless white knuckle car chases including

one involving a rogue Santa Claus driving a flashy limo.
