Welcome back to another episode of Fearless. Just a couple weeks ago, I was talking to my neighbor,

and it was just a difficult conversation I was having with her. I looked into her eyes, and this is somebody that has been through immense suffering in her life, especially in the last

couple years. She had lost the sun, and then her home has been not hit by one hurricane, but three

different hurricanes and three floodings in two years. And as I was sitting and talking to her,

it was a difficult conversation. I could just see in her eyes hopelessness in it. There was just a different spirit that you could see she just felt defeated, had nothing to say. And here I am on the other side. And I was just praying in my heart, Holy Spirit, give me the words to say. Holy Spirit, give me the words to say. And like many of you listening, you've probably been in those shoes. You might have said the wrong thing or maybe you were quiet and just sat there and listened and hugged and loved and

prayed. But right there in that moment, I felt like I did not have the words to say looking at somebody

who was completely hopeless. And I got home and there was a book that somebody sent me in my

email that you need to check this out.

And it was from Dr. Lee Warren and it says, Hope is the First Dose. And Dr. Lee Warren has written

a few books, but in this book, he writes about going through immense suffering in his own life.

And we will get to that. But I just want to welcome you, Dr. Lee Warren, to fearless. And I should

have asked when we first got on, how do you want me to address you? Is it Dr. Lee? Lee, Lee,

okay, Lee, got it. Thank you so much, Susie. I won't continue to say your full name. But Lee,

thank you for sharing your story. I know this is a book nobody ever dreams of ever writing

and does I never want to write?
