Monday evening. Now, we're in good moods. The problem is of course the news is disastrous.

The news is disastrous on a lot of fronts. I'm keeping it real with you guys. We have

cultural issues, we have police brutality issues. We have progressives caving in congress

issues. We have Republican issues. And we're going to cover them all. That's what we do

because our job is to cover news. I will give you a fair but optimistic view on all

these things and where optimism is not warranted. We'll tell you. So tons and tons of news

to get to. I'm sure Casper had a good weekend. I'm sure I did. I'm sure you did. So we're

going to move forward and do the news.

All right, I just want to note for myself, I am not in a good mood. And it is because

of the rundown. It is because of the stories that we're talking about today. And I'm

glad that you still find optimism even after we talk about two different cases of police

using brutality and excessive force. Let's start off with Virginia.

One of two Virginia cops who pulled guns on and assaulted an army officer has been fired.

The situation stems from a traffic stop involving an army officer by the name of Karen Nazario

who is both Latino and black. Nazario was driving on a dark road in rural Virginia when the

police tried to pull him over for allegedly a missing license plate. The car actually

had a temporary license plate since it was a new car. Anyway, at that point, Windsor

Virginia police officer Joe Gutierrez tried to pull him over. And unfortunately, the

situation became very violent from that moment on.

So I want to show you the video of what occurred and then I'll give you more details about

the aftermath.
