Today we talk about the new film, Superspreader, and we speak to its controversial creator and worship leader, Sean Feucht. During the pandemic Sean led worship all around the nation, including my home city of Kenosha after the protests in 2020. We speak about the church’s reaction to the pandemic, the power of worship and the power of the Word of God. Finally, we talk about the documentary and what Sean hopes it will accomplish.

I'm really curious. We're going to talk about it. So I want you to say hello to Sean Foitt Sean. Say hello to all the peeps out here. |
| 3:11.2 | Hey, man. Thanks for having me on. What's up, everybody? Super, super excited to be on here. I really appreciate it. |
| 3:19.2 | Yeah, it's really cool. Okay. So you and I aren't friends. I mean, I think that we've met once. I like I think in passing. And I don't do you remember that you guys came and did a worship event in the city that I live in and that I was there. Oh, you do remember that. Okay. I do remember that. Yeah. All right. Cool. So, but we don't really know each other. |
| 3:39.2 | Yeah. So we got hooked up. And I found out. Listen, I saw the ad for the film is coming out. And I was saying to somebody, I said, look, this is really interesting. And he goes, well, you know, I know him. You want me to hook you up. And I said, yeah, I'd like to have one of the show and talk. So anyway, Sean, |
| 3:54.2 | Sean, boy, your worship leader, do you want to actually tell us what the impetus, not for the film, but the impetus for worship together and or was and that sort of how that started. Oh, the lettuce worship movement. Yes, lettuce worship. |
| 4:09.2 | So, so for like 20 years, I've been, you know, really focused on missions and the nations and group as a missionary kid. And, you know, didn't really have a heart for America, to be honest. |
| 4:22.2 | Kind of just was like America's heard the gospel, whatever, focus myself very evangelistically on these nations and, you know, been to over 70 of them. |
| 4:31.2 | And, but then something really started to turn in my heart, you know, when I had four kids and started to see what, what, what are we passing on to the next generation, what kind of nation is this going to be? Where's the church right now? What does that look like? And so anyway, started to really a lot of this came to a head when I had |
| 4:51.2 | probably had 30 international trips booked and then the pandemic happened and everything shut down. We couldn't leave and and then our governor was, you know, a tyrannical, Pharaoh kind of psychopath and told everybody Christians were the problem. |
| 5:09.2 | And we were the super spreaders and meanwhile, you know, casinos and bars and strip clubs were open, but the church had shut down. And so, you know, I maybe for the first time in my life experienced in America, what so many those other underground church leaders that I spent time with the experience every day. |
| 5:29.2 | And I knew from them learning from them now is the time to rise up. And so we started a pledge called lettuce worship and it was a pledge that was focused on churches in New York and California, the two most lockdown states. |
| 5:45.2 | And basically just said, hey, listen, this is the Constitution guarantees us the right to worship the Bible calls us to do this, like let us worship this is what we're going to do and the pledge garnered like thousands of signatures, hundreds of thousands of signatures and had a lot of traction. |
| 6:03.2 | And so, like the Lord said, now it was time to put feet to the vision. And so we held our first gathering in San Francisco, at the height of the pandemic, the city was in a lockdown and play shelter in place order. |
| 6:18.2 | And we showed up there with several hundred Christians from San Francisco and we worshiped on the bridge and that bridge so happened to be the number one suicide spot in America. |
| 6:29.2 | And so, I don't know because of that, but we found that out from the police we encountered there. |
| 6:34.2 | Next day, we went down to Huntington Beach, a thousand people showed up a couple of days later, we went down back to, we went to San Diego, five thousand people showed up and all the sudden this movement was born at such a dark and hard time for so many in this country. |
