When it comes to getting the most out of your garden and also kind of spicing up the

0:17.9

intrigue, getting into weird or interesting, unique perennials is a fantastic way to do so.

0:24.4

And actually Chris, I kind of came across your content a long time ago before we obviously

0:28.6

are now working together. And you had kind of been profiling some of these mashoa, sort

0:34.9

of these oddball, tuber-based crops. And you know, it peaked my interest because a lot

0:39.8

of the times I've grown for simply the uniqueness of the plant. And really I don't even care

0:46.4

if I like to eat it. I just think it's interesting to grow. And that is something, it sounds

0:50.5

like you and I have in common. So I'm really curious, some of the stuff you showed me at

0:55.4

your place, maybe we could share it with everyone listening and see if it gives them

0:58.8

any ideas on planting that out.

1:18.9

to wait for them to develop into like full-size trees. Like I have paw paws, I've got like

1:25.9

two varieties. So paw paws are really cool. They're hearty down to, oh gosh, I don't remember

1:31.2

how cold, but they can handle cold temperatures. So for anyone who is looking for a fruiting

1:38.1

tree that produces in cold temperatures, paw paws are really cool for another mangane

1:44.6

growers. Persimmons do really well too. And although they're not like super odd, like

1:52.2

they are quite common, they, I find people just don't really grow persimmons, especially

1:58.0

not up here in Canada. They're actually quite beautiful trees and there are lots to choose

2:03.0

from and they can handle the cold. So I've got two young persimmons trees, I still have to

2:08.2

find room for them, but I'm really excited for those. And also I went kind of crazy last
