Welcome. This is Craig McConnell and I'm with our regular host, John Eldridge, and this is another one of our

podcasts, which we just so enjoy doing and making available to you and

and hope these are meaningful and encouraging to you as well. We've been talking

about just intimacy with God and just returning and just

a conversation with him and we've come to a point where it just feels like we need to include and speak to something

that's a regular part of our lives and what we call the daily prayer. and John why don't you kick us off this time?

Yeah, we do have this practice that has kind of found its way into our lives.

A prayer. practice that has kind of found its way into our lives, a prayer that has kind of developed

over time as our theology has developed, as our

experience of God has taught us new things

and you'll find it on our website under the section going deeper.

Deeper, and then there's a section there called prayers, and among a number of prayers,

you'll find something called the daily prayer. But years ago, as Stacey and I were developing a deeper walk with God, and out of that, the sacred romance, journey of desire, waking the dead, the early books began to come.

Then wild at heart and captivating, you know, as all of this was just blossoming and growing and blooming in our lives.

Boy, allow the expression, all hell broke loose. I mean, the enemy just came raging in and we found ourselves experiencing spiritual

warfare in ways that that you know no one had taught us how to handle or deal with and it was during that time it was a time

of very deep awakening to God and a deepening intimacy just discovering so much more is available with God.
