Once again, I am here with a conversation episode, but this one is a bit different.

I spoke with Hannah Parker, who is perhaps better known as Historicohan.

On TikTok and Instagram, both of us are building careers around teaching people the ancient

world via the internet, but at the same time we're both going about it in fascinatingly

different ways.

I don't want to harp on how I'm the middle-aged millennial thing, but it's pretty true.

This is such an interesting example of the ways that different age groups both teach and

learn about the ancient world, hence why I wanted to speak with Hannah.

Plus, she's just supremely smart and cool and nice.

So we talked not only about what it's like to teach things about the ancient world on

the internet, how she does it through TikTok and how she does things a little bit differently

from a lot of TikTokers out there for the better.

We also talked about Hannah's own specialty, which is studying the Greek goddess TK, who's

like fortune, but also specifically as she appears in the Near East during, I think it was

the Hellenistic period and beyond.

Can you tell I'm recording this after we have the conversation by quite some time?

It's fine.

But also because Hannah is doing her masters in archaeology alongside all of this, so

we had so much to say about TK, who is somebody I have not talked nearly enough about.

We talk history and archaeology and I learned all these things about TK and the East.
