Summary

Welcome back to The Kristan Hawkins Show!

Today we're going to hear Christian apologist, Jojo Ruba, discuss why abolitionist attacks on pro-life leaders are harming the movement. We share some reactions to their accusations of my recent trip to The University of Central Oklahoma.

I hope this conversation helps inspire many in the pro-life movement that using incremental strategy is what saves lives without compromising our convictions. Charlie Kirk knew this, which is why he emphasized an incremental approach during his keynote speech at our National Pro-Life Summit 2025 last year.

Hey, Pralive Jen, it's Kristen Hawkins. And welcome to this unique episode of the Kristen Hawkins show.

0:06.7

I'm actually on Christmas vacation, but I took the day today, which is why my hair is not done, because these arguments don't deserve Kristen's hair done.

0:16.2

But I wanted to take the day today to respond to a video that was released. Actually, the day I spoke on

0:24.0

stage for Charlie Kirk at Amfest, the group Abolitionists Rising, put out this edited video of a speech.

0:31.4

Well, they didn't really cover my speech, but just a Q&A of my speech at Oklahoma Central

0:35.2

University where several abolitionists attended. And I wanted to

0:40.1

give you some context on that. And I also wanted to bring in a very well-known pro-life Christian

0:46.9

apologists in Canada, who I've had the honor of knowing since I started students for life,

0:52.4

I'm aging Jojo, Ruba, and myself, Jojo has worked with

0:56.7

Stephanie Gray, and he can give you a little background of himself. But I actually contacted

1:00.7

Jojo when the video came out because I wanted him to watch, you know, the abolitionist rising video

1:07.3

and from like a neutral third party viewpoint, assess what I said, what I could have said

1:15.0

better, because something that we have to understand is pro-life activist, and I certainly

1:18.7

have said this anytime I go out and speak on college campuses, I do not feel like I am the most

1:24.9

eloquent pro-life apologists. I don't claim ever to be. The reason I,

1:29.9

you know, campus tour videos and things like that have gone viral over the years is because I'm

1:34.9

the one willing to accept the crazy things. I'm the one putting on the bulletproof vest. I'm the

1:40.2

one who's, you know, willing to let people have long Instagram conversations about my weight gain and my weight loss, which is not a lot of fun.

1:49.7

I'm just the one crazy enough willing to deal with that.

1:53.9

So I've never thought that I'm like the best Christian apologist or pro-life apologist.

1:58.9

So I wanted Jojo to come on and kind of go through with us.

2:02.3

Like Kristen, you could have said this better or this scripture was being twisted and didn't
