The shocking revelation from the FAA, they've ordered about 60 pilots who are also

military veterans out of the cockpit amid an investigation into nearly 5,000 pilots

who the FAA alleges falsified medical records.

The VA Inspector General's Office became, quote, concerned that some pilots may be

hiding mental health conditions or fraudulently receiving disability benefits.

The FAA, saying it has closed about half the cases and says a majority of the pilots whose

cases remain open can still fly while they investigate.

600 of the pilots under investigation have licenses to fly passenger airlines.

There's a couple of interesting angles to this story.

As I know some military people and I know some pilots and

pass that along to you, but the Wall Street Journal had this story yesterday.

5,000 pilots suspected of hiding major health issues most are still flying.

That's a pretty eye-grabbing headline makes you go, oh my god!

My pilots got a heart problem and is going to crash us into the ground or whatever.

What's going on here, at least in this particular case, is you have a lot of

military veterans that the claim is and this might be true in some cases.

The claim is that a lot of these veterans are minimizing their

ailments to the FAA so that they don't lose their license.

But exaggerating them to the VA to maximize their disability payments.

I can't function in society because of my PTSD.
