Summary

Last week’s Controversial Thoughts was on The Carnivore Diet for Beginners. This week, I wanted to discuss the spectrum of plant toxicity a bit more. Thinking about this from the perspective of plants makes it a whole lot easier. Plants don’t want their seeds (nuts, grains, seeds, legumes), leaves, stems, or roots eaten. Avoid these foods while focusing on the least toxic parts of plants (fruit- sweet and non-sweet) while making meat and organs the centerpiece of your diet and you will thrive. #theremembering

What is up you guys? Welcome to another edition of controversial thoughts. On last week's episode,

0:05.5

I did a short video on the Carnivore diet for beginners. This week I wanted to talk a little bit about

0:13.0

the plant toxicity spectrum in more detail because I got a lot of questions about that when I posted

0:20.7

it on Instagram. So as I discussed last week in the controversial thoughts video, a basic carnivore

0:26.8

diet for beginners is meat and organs. I talked about the macro proportions and I talked about

0:32.0

salt and I talked about which organs. I talked about all that last week. So if that's interesting

0:35.9

for you, go back to last week's controversial thoughts. One of the things that I find very

0:41.0

interesting as well is that there is some room for individuality here and I'm quite intrigued by

0:47.3

the possibility of a carnivore-ish type diet for a lot of people that might be something like a

0:53.2

tier one or two carnivore diet. If you've read my book, the carnivore code, all of these diets

0:58.9

are going to include meat and organs as the majority of the diet, but there is some room for

1:05.3

including plants for color, variety, texture, or if you want to have different macros. I've

1:10.0

been messing around with carbohydrates a little bit, which makes me think if I'm going to eat plants,

1:15.6

are there some plants that are more or less toxic? If you've heard me on other podcasts,

1:20.2

there are three main points to a carnivore diet that I talk about. An animal-based diet in general.

1:25.3

Number one, animal meat and organs are the center of the human diet and have been for millions of

1:32.1

years of human evolution and including these in our diet is essential for human health, integral

1:37.3

to kicking a lot of ass. They have been incorrectly vilified for the last 70 years based on bad

1:41.9

science, epidemiology, which is quite misleading. I've done a controversial thoughts on why epidemiology

1:47.6

is misleading in the past. Number two, the plants that we're eating exist on a spectrum of toxicity.

1:55.1

This is commonly known throughout indigenous cultures and hunter-gatherers. They don't all eat

1:59.3

plants without some consideration of what plant they're eating or which part of the plant they're
