It's a great time to be alive. It's that time of year where holidays and college football and football

and general schedules get crazy for us. And it's that time of year where everything's happening in

that sport. We love so much. So I'm excited to do this one. How are you doing my brother?

I'm doing good. In some ways, this is a throwback to the only times I enjoyed

during the pandemic for the most part, which was talking sports with you and Jake on Zoom and often

getting sidetracked. But yeah, a real throwback to our roots. It's a fun time to be a college

football fan. We were talking a little bit before we got started here.

It feels like the parody is better than it's ever been, but it also feels completely

wide open because I really have a hard time getting a read on some of these contenders

and how much stock to put in them, how legitimate some of these teams are.

Really weird year, but this is what's fun and i think

this was kind of the desired outcome with the college football playoff right was to expand the

conversation beyond alabama's georgas and back in the day clemsons of the world 100% yeah it's

it's uh it's widened up and then all that has also felt enhanced because of the parity we have this year,

because of how wide-open it is, because there doesn't seem to be a true contender,

a true, like, two, three teams where it's like they're head and shoulders above the rest and everyone

else is just in a separate tier, which was the biggest argument against this 12 team playoff

is like, if it's how it is most years, we're kind of playing like an extra round of playoffs when

there was already an extra round you know like these national

semifinals have been blowouts a lot of the time because the matchups just weren't that great and you

were kind of forcing a fourth team that didn't totally belong talent wise this year i could see a bazillion
