Good morning, Church. My name is Gina Johnson.

I volunteer here in the Finance Department and I'm also a small group later for women's

Bible study. And it is my privilege to read for you this morning out of Luke, chapter 18, verse 9 through

14. He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that what that they were righteous

and treated others with contempt. Two men went up to pray in the temple, one a Pharisee, the other

tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed this, God, I thank you that I'm not like other

men, extortioners, unjust adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week,

I give ties of all that I get, but the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift his

eyes to heaven, but beat his breast saying, God, be merciful to me, a sinner. I tell you, this man

went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be

humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted. This is the Word of the Lord.

give me a moment. I'm not used to being in a church with quite so many people. It's a little different

where I hail from. I think Josh introduced me, but my name is Robbie Moore. I am the pastor of

Capital City Church in Austin, Texas. And some of you know this and some of you don't, but we're a

church plant of the village church. And so the life and ministry, anything that is going on,

St. Paul tells us in Philippians 4 that that's fruit that increases to your credit. And so I just
