Gentlemen, where should we begin so much went on this weekend?

Do we really want to talk about football first? I think not, because why Antonio Conte had to say this weekend,

trumped just about everything, calling his players, selfish saying Tottenham can change the manager,

but the situation cannot change. It was a stinging criticism, at least perceived to be a stinging criticism of the club's culture.

It came after a throwaway, a two goal lead with 13 minutes left against relegation threat and Southampton.

Now, if you've missed it, have a quick listen to his press conference straight after the match.

I don't know, because they are used to here. Don't play for something important. They don't play, they don't want to play under pressure.

They don't want to play under stress. It's easy in this way. Tottenham's story is this, 20 years that there is the honor and never won something.

But why? The fault is only for the club, or for every manager that stay here, and I have seen the manager that Tottenham had.

You risk to disrupt the figure of the manager and to protect the other situation in every moment.

Until now, I tried to hide the situation, but now no, because I repeat, I don't want to see what I have seen today, because this is unassettable, also for the respect for the fans.

They follow us, pay the tickets, and to see the team, another time, to have these type of performance, for me, I repeat this unassettable.

So absolutely incredible, totally remarkable, from Antonio Conte.

One of our very own, Tom Olner, was in the room, listening to that press conference, Tom Clark here, spoke to him a little bit earlier on and asked him what it was like being there.

Yeah, I mean, it was astonishing, really. I mean, I guess when you do these press conferences in the written press, you always get a little bit of a flavor of what you might be about to hear, because usually managers speak to the radios

and the television first, and although they're much shorter interviews, you sometimes get a sort of an idea as to what might be coming.

So we were sort of anticipating something a little bit different, because we've heard Antonio Conte express some distaste for his interviews with the radios, but he basically sort of stormed in.

And the first question was a pretty innocuous one really was, you know, what did you think of the penalty decision?

It was quite clear that within about six words, you know, he kind of said, yeah, it wasn't a penalty, but, you know, I, that's not what I want to talk about, you know, and then he just went off and just kept speaking and that, and it was a 10 minute press conference.

There were four questions, but to be honest, the questions were completely irrelevant. I mean, he just wanted to say what he wanted to say.

You know, we've seen this before, I guess, from Conte at Spurs and also in his career, but to be there and for him to sort of, you know, be shouting, gesticulating.
