Hello again. This podcast is about the Republican Party and the conservative movement thought until recently to be one and the same.

But the election of President Trump has changed that, at least in the minds of some traditional conservatives.

One of those is Mona Sharon. She is a conservative of long-standing, syndicated columnist, political analyst,

contributor to the National Review on the line. She appeared on a panel at the Convention of CPAC,

that's the conservative political action conference, and she was prepared to fight.

I'm disappointed in people on our side for being hypocrites about sexual harassers and abusers of women who are in our party, who are sitting in the White House, who brag about their extramarital affairs, who brag about mistreating women.

And because he happens to have an R after his name

we we look the other way we don't complain this is this is a party that was

ready to endorse the Republican Party endorsed Roy Moore for the Senate in the

state of Alabama even though he was a credibly accused child molester.

You cannot claim that you stand for women and put up with that.

Okay, you heard a little audience noise there and it got louder as time went on.

And after the convention

Mona Sharon wrote an op-ed for the New York Times with the title, I'm glad I got booed at CPAC.

She joins us now. Hi, good to have you with us. Hi, Warren. Nice to be here. What are you glad about?

That I was given the opportunity to just tell the truth in an otherwise sort of monochromatic

convention that was basically a cheering section for Donald Trump and for Trumpism and for

some even worse tendencies.

Like I also condemned the invitation issued to Marian Le Pen, who is the enthusiastic avatar of her grandfather, Jean-Marie Le Pen's horrible racist and sexist, not sexist, sorry, racist and anti-Semitic views.

Well, let's hear a little bit of that.
