I want to have confidence in government, but this shatters you.

This week, one of Glenn Beck's conspiracy theories has turned out to be kind of true.

advice on house sources should call journalists nowadays.

Buy a couple of disposable cell phones.

One you mail to the press.

At a time, written on the phone, you call the press,

far from your home, far from where you work.

And when you're done, destroy your cell phone and throw it away.

And evocative dispatches from a civil war reporter who never actually saw the battle.

Bayonet, musket, sword, and cannon all did their bloody work.

And the earth was stained and slippery with human gore.
