Thanks for dropping by on this lovely August 1st. So just a couple of news pieces to go over before we begin

our podcast. I'd first like to say, congratulations to someone. Now if you're a frequent listener of the

Clark's World Podcast, you know exactly who I'm talking about because I seem to mention his name and

his story almost every single podcast this year but I'd like to add

yet another award to his list.

Congratulations to Peter Watts again for The Things, who took home a Shirley Jackson Award at ReaderCon.

So what else happened at ReaderCon? Oh, yeah! Clark's World turned five.

And as Neil likes to put it, it's a dinosaur at this point in the age of the internet.

But we wanted to thank you for being a part of this community,

for letting us turn five. For with your support, we've been able to continue to bring you wonderful stories each month.

So thank you to our loyal fans, our loyal readers, our loyal listeners, and our loyal contributors.
