This is Holy Family School of Faith.

So welcome to the movement of the Holy Family.

I'm blessed to be gathered with a number of people, primarily from St Michael the archangel parish who will be going

with me to the land of Jesus, the Holy Land Jerusalem in January.

So we've had a meal, good conversation,

and now we're going to pray the Rosary together.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son

and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call the mind all those

that we've promised to pray for.

Tomorrow is the feast of Christ the King.

As we celebrate this feast, two things stand in apparent contrast to me.

First, when I look around, it sure does not appear that Jesus is the king of this world and most people don't want him to be

their king in fact it looks like open rebellion and disregard for the kingship of

Christ. Secondly, both Jesus, St Paul, and St John say that Satan is the ruler of this world.

In John Chapter 14, Jesus said,

I shall not talk with you any longer because the prince of this world is on his way,

but he has no power over me.

In 1st John chapter 5, we know that anyone who has been begotten by God

does not sin, because the begotten son of God protects him and the evil one does not touch him.

We know that we belong to God, but the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. So how do we reconcile these apparently

contradictory things? Feast of the kingship of Jesus and the power of the Devil seems to hold in this world.
