Let us begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those whom we've promised to pray for.

So let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

As we prepare for consecration to Mary, it seems very reasonable to ask the question, why go to Mary when we can go directly to Jesus,

or why consecrate oneself to Mary when she has no power to bring the divine life of Jesus to our souls. These questions can only be answered

with a better understanding of the Holy Trinity and how Mary fits into the plan of God. So to begin with, God is one God,

one divine nature in three persons, Father's Son and Holy Spirit. And in God there is one

divine nature with one intellect or way of knowing, one divine will or way of choosing and one mode of operation which means all

three persons do everything together but at the same time there are three divine persons who are distinct in their

relationship to one another and each of the divine persons has a distinct mission.

The Son has the Mission as the Redeemer and the Holy Spirit has a maternal mission to form Jesus in Mary and to form Jesus in our soul.
