Here's your host, John Janson. I'm now joined by the

head coach of the men's lacrosse team here at the University of Michigan. That's Kevin Conry.

Kevin, thanks for joining us. You guys are in the mid-season right now, three and two. What have you

learned about your team to this point in the season?

Well, I think that's an interesting question.

I think what we've learned is that we have some excellent veterans on our roster.

You know, over the past couple of years, we've always felt like we were youth chasing a bunch

of older teams.

And now these guys have been playing for us for three, four years consecutively.

And now we have a littered roster with graduate students and seniors.

So what we've learned is these guys are doing a great job,

creating their own leadership voices and filling voids where we really need them.

You know, and when you look at just kind of the way that a lacrosse team is broken up,

we have four coaches to 52, 53 athletes.

So there's a lot of disparities, a lot of room for older players to have their voices

and have their leadership really felt.
