Bev Polacki, is going to join me in just a few minutes to talk about their preseason and

exhibition coming up this weekend and the regular season starting in January,

all coming up on Conquering Heroes.

Well, as promised, I'm joined by one of my favorite coaches here at the University of Michigan.

That is the head women's gymnastics coach, Bev Pallaki.

And coach, I know that this is, right now you're still in your, I guess you'd call it preseason

because that first exhibition meets not until Saturday.

We'll talk about that in a minute, but how has this preseason been for your team?

You know, I think it's gone really well. I am really pleased with the work ethic and the focus of our student-athletes.

I think we have prepared well, and, you know, we're excited to get,

you know, the season underway. How do you handle this final week leading up to Saturday in regards

to preparing not just those that you expect to have, you know, tremendous seasons,

but those that are new to your program and getting them ready for competition.

You know, just trying to get the freshmen to have a little glimpse

or an understanding of the fact that our season is fun,

and competing in gymnastics is fun and really hyping that up for them.
