Well, as promised, I'm now joined by the men's and women's swimming and diving coach.

That's Mike Bottom.

Mike, thanks for joining me. And it's not often I get a chance to talk to a coach that is

coaching on both sides men's and women's uh thanks for joining me how difficult is it what are

some of the challenges that you faced being a coach on both sides?

I think that any coach right now is facing challenges bringing back teams after a real

cultural shift both in our culture outside of the athletic department and inside

the athletic department after inside the athletic department after after the

COVID years uh you know we are now in normal training practice and meet scheduled

uh and yet the normal uh is not normal.

Because we're working with a group of student athletes,

some of them that didn't go to their high school,

their senior year or their junior and senior year.

They were homeschooled or gone online.

So there's a lot of, and then we had our leaders now, our, we were in COVID.
