Well, I'm pleased to be sitting down with our new head coach at baseball.

That's Tracy Smith.

Coach, thanks for joining me, and welcome to Ann Arbor.

I appreciate it.

Love being here, learning something new every day.

But you caught me after my left, so I'm to sit down here yeah um 25 years of head coaching experience over 800 wins what keeps you coming back for more

um it's well it's one of those things I tell people all the time, like in coaching and in athletics

and you being a former athlete.

Like there's a lot of work that goes into this, as you know.

So I don't want to sit here and say that we don't work hard, but I don't feel like I've

worked a day in my life, you know, because it's fun.

And I know that sounds like a simple and generic answer, but it's fun to get up every morning because you don't know what the challenge is going to be that day outside of, you know, you're doing your practice plan and you're trying to win games. But being a part of a team and a team dynamic yourself, things are, you know, it changes and there can be curb balls and different things happen. I like that element.

So it's fun.

So as long as I have the energy and passion to get up and do that every day,

I'll keep coming, God willing.
