Well, I'd like to welcome in, Coach Mel Pearson, Michigan's ice hockey coach to Conquering Heroes.

Coach, it's great to hear from you again, and it's great to hear from you in game week.

How excited are you and your players right now?

Oh, I can't put in words.

I know you hear that cliche all the time, but you really can't.

It's been a long time coming, March 12th was a long time ago.

Our guys have really done a great job, staying safe and healthy, and I'm just so excited

for them.

I'm excited, too, but, you know, our players have done a great job, and it's here.

It's upon us, so we can't wait to drop that puck on Saturday

and get going and find out what type of team we're going to have. So we're extremely excited and

extremely grateful and thankful to, you know, the Mission Athletic Department and obviously the Big Ten

and, you know, just the University of Michigan to be able to get started and play.

Well, and as you mentioned, and you're going to be hosting Arizona State at Yost on Saturday and Sunday,

but before you get there, this is going to come out on Tuesday.
